About the Play
Today’s fast-paced life has trapped everything in a rush. A break is necessary in between, too. If a person cannot free themselves from these constraints, there is a possibility of becoming impaired. Though the play “Madhyarathriya Thiganegalu” (Midnight Encounters) may seem filled with humorous incidents at first glance, it carries within it many subtle questions about life. It uncovers various layers of society while revealing, in its unique way, the differences in human nature. The play explores how people with complex mindsets behave under the pressure of their environment and circumstances and how they strive to identify themselves. Additionally, it highlights the struggles of urban life, the uncertainties of the middle class, and the pettiness of life, all of which are unveiled through the characters in the play.
